The Spotted Goat is what happens when a café gets everything right – from the rich, dark chocolate 5 Senses house blend, to a menu stacked with flavour and zero fluff. Set along Hervey Bay’s scenic Esplanade, it’s got a comfy fit out that somehow feels both cool-coastal and cozy.
You’ll find locals rolling in for their regulars, travellers comparing whale watching notes and brunch-lovers galore.

2. Enzos on the Beach
📍 351a Esplanade, Scarness
If you only had one day in Hervey Bay and could visit just one café – I’d suggest Enzo’s. Purely based on the fact that is has the best view in town. Enzos is literally on the beach, with waterfront tables and views of K’gari Fraser Island.
The coffee’s not too bad, the view is unbeatable, and the menu leans into brunch classics. It’s the kind of place you’ll wish you found earlier – equal parts relaxed and scenic.

Salt is casual dining experience with food that’s really great value for money. Bonus: it’s right on the water, so you’ll also get bayside views. The coffee is usually reliable, but the views and location make up for it. Don’t be surprised if you accidentally stay for hours.
